Health, Safety & Environment Specialist (Oil and Gas) (Terengganu)

Job Description:
• Responsible for overall planning, implementation on environmental safety, health matters of all the project sites.
• Responsible in ensuring the applicable procedures and practices are in accordance with the environmental, safety and health statutory acts / regulations.
• Advice and liaising local contractors and agencies on the safety regulations and other applicable statutory obligations.
• Identify potential hazards, assess the risks and determining necessary controls.
• Establish, review and update the Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register and Job Safety & Health Analysis, Safety & Health Analysis, Safety & Health Legal and other requirements register.
• Responsible for ensuring Projects Managers and ESH Officers are familiar with the ESH Management System requirements, inspection program and activities.
• Conduct environmental and safety induction / training for all level of project team.
• Investigate any accident, near-miss, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or diseases in the project site.
• Compile and update Monthly Safety and Health Report of each site so as to keep track of safety performance indicator.
• Plan and assist in compliance audits and self-audits.
• Coordinate other duties and when necessary to ensure the safety, health security, welfare and environmental aspects in the project site is given appropriate attention.

Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Quality, Safety, Environment & Occupational, Environmental Science and Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Mature with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact well with all parties concerned.
• MUST be certified by the Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH).
• Candidates with experience in oil and gas industry are encouraged to apply.
• Must be willing to be based at Terengganu.
